GENERAL INFORMATION
2009 Swim lessons will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The hours will vary during the week depending on your group. Please review the chart below for your group and assigned lesson times. Your group will meet for approximately 4 weeks, followed by a week of review, for a total of five weeks. Testing will be at the end of the five week period.. An end of session pizza and ice cream party is planned for the final week. All participants will receive an official certificate of completion.Your child will be assigned to the appropriate group and be taught by an
Red Cross Water Safety Certified Instructor.
In addition, a Certified Lifeguard will be in the pool to assist and reinforce swimming and safety skills.
Bring a towel (labeled with name)
and goggles (if needed) to each lesson.
Given the large size of our groups, your child may spend time out of the water while others are working with the Instructor or Assistant in pool. Children will be asked to remain at the pool’s edge to observe others in their group. For this reason, it is helpful to have an extra dry towel nearby
Children may be offered a small candy
reward after weekly lessons are completed.
If there are any food allergies we should be aware of, please advise the Swim Lesson Coordinators.
Regular attendance is vital and will be taken at the beginning of each lesson. Please make every effort to be at your scheduled lessons on time. If you know in advance that you will be absent, please advise the instructor.
Lessons may be given in the clubhouse on days that weather prevents us from being in the pool. General water safety will be covered. Swim testing will begin after review. Your child will be tested by an American Red Cross Water Safety Certified Instructor and will pass testing for their level only if they can demonstrate the required skills.
We encourage you to keep an open dialogue with your child’s Instructor for feedback on their progress. Our Instructors and Lifeguards will teach your child water safety and the necessary skills in a positive and fun manner. If it is possible for you to remain on the Beach Club property during lessons, we encourage you to do so. We appreciate your keeping a watchful eye.

SWIM LESSON REGISTRATION FORM
$25. Family Fee includes weekly “rewards” (e.g. candy) for children, certificates of participation, end-of-season party, Red Cross Cards, and a bonus for instructors in lieu of a “thank you” collection. Forms submitted after July 1st must include a cash payment of $30.
